Was at Towers today with Mum and went to Cafe Gatoni, located on the uppermost level on the Myer end of the shopping centre. Been there several times before but I believe they've changed management.
Food: 6.5/10
Tequila & lime infused tempura flathead fillet; chose this one as it was a combination I hadn't heard or tried of for a fish dish.
- Included a side of chips, salad and lime aioli dip
- Presentation was pretty decent
- Fish itself was okay... nothing spectacular, I could taste both lime and alcohol, however it wasn't anything spectacular nor something I'd be rushing to order again
- Chips were a little dry so I didn't finish them all
- What I did love was the side salad! I loved that they included capsicum and olives (even though I don't like them) on top of the usual onion, carrot, tomato and lettuce
Mum had ordered the chicken schnitzel toasted sandwich with avocado, I didn't try any though so won't comment on that.
For drinks, I had an iced mocha; again nothing special and I should remember to ask for no whipped cream because I never eat it. Gatoni, however, made it look like a pile of shit. So thumbs down for that.
Value: 6.0/10
- Totalled to around 47.50
- Considering that I didn't enjoy it all that much, I wouldn't say it was good value

Service: 7.5/10
- Waiters were lovely and offered as necessary
- Food did take quite a while to come out but drinks were quick
Ambience: 5.5/10
- I know because it located right in the middle, positioning of tables isn't ideal but it's annoying as fek
- Table itself was wobbly and felt a little flimsy, didn't like the angle positioned
- With clear glass roofs, it was naturally brightly lit, so that was nice
Overall: 6.4
